Germany’s benntec Systemtechnik GmbH has merged with MarineSoft GmbH to expand the company’s potential for innovation.
The newly merged company will continue to trade under the name benntec Systemtechnik GmbH and remain headquartered in Bremen, Germany, Rheinmetall AG announced today.
Majority shareholder of the now-expanded benntec company continues to be Geradts GmbH, which holds a 51% stake.
“This merger creates a stronger company that will do an even better job of serving the market”, said Joachim Ratte, Managing Director of bennetec Systemtechnik GmbH.
“As an efficient supplier of advanced learning and training technology as well as software and system development solutions, the new setup expands our technical and professional expertise in a mutually reinforcing way. In short, we’ll be able to respond even better to our customers’ needs”, said Ratte.
“First and foremost, the point of this merger is to systematically develop our company’s potential for innovation, which will ensure that we can go on supporting our customers’ instruction and training needs with advanced, high-performance, highquality interactive solutions for years to come”, he added.
The MarineSoft brand remains, as will the Rostock-Warnemünde location, is now the company’s centre of excellence for maritime e-learning and training technology as well as software and system development.
Dr Volker Köhler, previously Managing Director of MarineSoft GmbH and now “Prokurist” of bennetec’s new MarineSoft unit said, “the tried-and-tested Rostock-Warnemünde site will see a concentration of activities aimed at customers in the maritime markets as well as the energy and process sectors.”
Post-merger, the company continues to employ over 130 people.
