MTU Wins $720M Order for Diesel Parts

MTU Detroit Diesel, Inc., Detroit, Mich., is being awarded a maximum $720,000,000 indefinite quantity type, sole source contract for diesel engine parts. Other location of performance is Pennsylvania. Using services are Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a five-year contract with a one-year base and four option years. There were originally four proposals solicited with three responses. The date of performance completion is Sept. 30, 2009. The contracting activity is Defense Supply Center Columbus, Columbus, Ohio (SPM7LX-08-D-9028).
