F-35 With Engine

United Technologies Corporation Pratt & Whitney has won a new $214 million contract from US department of defense for jet engines maintenance for the over-cost and troubled F-35 stealth fighter bomber.

The defense contractor will maintain the F-35 jets for the US Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps, as well as foreign military sales, US department of defense announced Wednesday.

The F-35 program’s overall cost has ballooned to more than $1 trillion, making it the most expensive weapons program in the Defense Department's history. The aircraft has suffered from a long line of flaws including systems malfunctions, schedule delays and cost overruns.
