Airbus Defence and Space has developed a next generation Ectocryp Blue high grade data encryption technology that enables government as well as military users to communicate Secret and above information over public networks.
The latest version of Ectocryp Blue will meet highest security standards and make it easier for users to set up and manage networks, the company announced today.
Ectocryp Blue is an Enterprise-level product developed by UK experts to meet CESG’s rigorous standards for network layer cryptography (PRIME Suite A).
The new PRIME standard is CESG’s preferred strategic solution for encrypting communications carried over IP networks. It enables users at Secret and above to create secure complex networks using multiple devices which are secure.
The next generation of Ectocryp Blue is based on its predecessors Ectocryp Blue (HAIPE*), Ectocryp Yellow (PRIME) and other Ectocryp solutions that are used by governments and armed forces worldwide to protect sensitive data and minimise the potential for cyber-attacks.
All existing Ectocryp systems are fully upgradable to the new PRIME interoperability standard and upgrades can be done onsite in order to minimise disruption to existing networks.
This latest model is state of the art, complies with the highest Government standards and gives users more ease of use and flexibility.” Dr Phil Jones, Head of CyberSecurity at Airbus Defence and Space in the UK said.
