Protocol Signed To Service Russian-Made Helicopters In Serbia
Serbia has signed a protocol to establish a regional center for servicing Russian-made helicopters in Serbia, the Serbian Defense Ministry’s press service said on Wednesday.
The signing of a protocol was done by Serbian Defense Minister Bratislav Gasic and First Deputy Director of Russia’s Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation Andrey Boitsov.
The project was initiated during Serbian prime minister’s visit to Russia in October 2015, defense ministry said.
"The project envisages establishing a regional center in the Republic of Serbia for servicing Russian-made helicopters that are used in the region and in the world. The sides will coordinate the details and deadlines for implementing the project in the future," the press service said.
"Both sides assessed the project as one of priority directions of future cooperation in the military-technical sphere," the defense ministry stressed.
