Dassault Aviation on Monday said that it actively supports the French authorities in finalizing a full accord in the sale of 36 fighters to New Delhi in four weeks.
The Indo-French inter-governmental agreement on the sale of the fighters was signed on Monday. The French President Francois Hollande is on a visit to India’s capital to attend the nation’s Republic Day celebrations on Tuesday.
Dassault "actively supports the French authorities in finalising a full accord within four weeks," it said in a statement.
“Leaving out financial aspect, India and France have signed IGA on purchase of 36 Rafale fighter jets,” Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said at the press briefing after the MoU for the fighters was signed.
“We expect that even the financial aspects pertaining to purchase of Rafale jets will be resolved as soon as possible,” he added.
Hollande said that the financial issues over the Rafale aircraft deal will be resolved in a "couple of days".
