MiG To Sign MiG-35 Fighter Contract With Russian Defense Ministry

Russian MiG plans to deliver MiG-35 fighters to the Russian Defense Ministry by the end of this year.

The Russian Mikoyan MiG-35 (Fulcrum-F) jet fighter is a further development of the MiG-29M/M2 and MiG-29K/KUB.

"Right now the contract is in the negotiation stage, we expect it to be signed before the end of 2016…The plan is that the shipment of the first two aircraft under the contract will be carried out before the end of 2017," MiG Deputy Director General Alexey Beskibalov was quoted as saying by Sputnik Saturday.

The MiG fighters will soon receive latest platform-less intertial navigation system.

The MiG-35 is a multipurpose 4 ++ generation fighter, it is a further development of the MiG-29K / KUB and MiG-29M / M2 combat aircraft with improved combat effectiveness and versatility, as well as improved performance.
