Iran Equips M60 Tanks With Anti-TOW Jamming Systems

Iran has equipped its M60 tanks with jamming system to improve performance of TOW and other anti-tank guided missiles.

"We have mounted fire-control and jamming systems on M60 tanks to be able to divert TOW and other anti-armored missiles," Iranian Ground Force Commander Brigadier General Ahmadreza Pourdastan said in an interview with the Iranian Army magazine 'Saf' on Wednesday, May 11.

Ground Forces plan to strengthen its missile power in the current Iranian year, Pourdastan added.

In relevant remarks in February, Lieutenant Commander of the Iranian Ground Force Brigadier General Kioumars Heidari announced that his forces have been equipped with the home-made tanks named 'Karrar' with features similar to the Russian T-90 tanks.

General Heidari had said that,"Karrar tanks have been delivered to the combat units of the Ground Force.”
