Indian HAL, BEL Sign Avionics Knowledge Transfer Memorandum

India’s Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) and Bharat Electronics (BEL) have signed an MoU with an aim of mutual cooperation and knowledge transfer in avionics.

“The umbrella understanding includes sharing of expertise in design, development, engineering and manufacturing between HAL and BEL to develop and produce advanced airborne communication, electronic warfare systems etc.,” Suvarna Raju, CMD, HAL said Tuesday.

S. K. Sharma, CMD, BEL said, “I am sure such efforts will lead to greater indigenization and self-reliance in defence technologies. This collaboration will support the ‘Make in India’ mission”.
