Bell Boeing Wins $80 Million US Navy Contract For V-22 Osprey Parts Repair

Bell Boeing has been awarded the US Navy contract worth $80 million to provide repair of various parts on the V-22 aircraft.

“Bell Boeing Joint Program Office, California, Maryland, is being awarded $80,250,156 for modification of delivery order 0006 under a previously awarded contract (N00019-09-D-0008) for repair of various parts on the V-22 aircraft,” the US Department of Defense announced Tuesday.  

This is the final year of performance on a five-year, no option performance based logistics contract.

Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas; and Ridley Park, Pennsylvania and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2017.

Fiscal 2016 working capital funds (Navy) in the amount of $80,250,156 will be obligated at the time of award and will not expire at the end the current fiscal year.  Naval Supply Systems Command Weapons Systems Support, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is the contracting activity, the statement added.
