General Dynamics Wins $149 Million To Provide Network Services To DARPA

The US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) recently awarded a follow-on contract worth $149 million to General Dynamics to provide classified network services, support and infrastructure.

Under this contract, General Dynamics Mission Systems will continue to deliver flexible, scalable and high-level classified network and systems development, design and management to accommodate past, present and future technologies, the company said in a statement Wednesday.

Additionally, General Dynamics Mission Systems will provide Insider Threat monitoring and reporting solutions designed to aide DARPA in early detection of malicious behavior to keep information on the classified network safe and secure.

Mike Tweed-Kent, vice president and general manager of the Cyber and Electronic Warfare Systems line of business for General Dynamics Mission Systems said, "Our accredited multilevel domain solution allows users to access applications and information at multiple levels of security across the enterprise from a single computer workstation. This ability to control access ensures the security needed to protect classified data across multiple security boundaries and distributed user communities."
