Lockheed Martin has won a $7 million contract for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) ground components.

The value of this contract is increased from $407 million to $414 million.  This modification acquires UAE ground component spares (prescribed load list and authorized stockage list); spares replenishment items for missile stockpile test sets, and facilitization modification kits, the US department of defense said in a statement Thursday.

Work is expected to be complete by Dec. 15, 2017.
