Lockheed Martin has won $8.2 million US Navy contract for avionics work supporting the VH-92A Presidential Helicopter Program.

Work will involve avionics design, hardware and software development, testing fabrication, installation and maintenance of avionics systems in support of the program.

Work is expected to be completed in August 2018.

Lockheed Martin has cleared VH-92A Presidential Helicopter Replacement Program Critical Design Review (CDR) in July this year.

The joint Sikorsky/Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) VH-92A helicopter program team met in July with key collaborators from government and industry for an in-depth design review, the company had said in a statement.
