Russia Eyes To Renew Helicopter Project With US

Russia is considering the possibilities of renewing a helicopter project and other forms of cooperation with US and NATO on Afghanistan.

The changed approach of Russia towards US comes after Donald Trumph elected as US President for 2016 election.

“Russia considers the prospects for renewing a helicopter project and other forms of cooperation with NATO and the US on Afghanistan,” Zamir Kabulov the Russian Foreign Ministry’s director of the Second Asian Department was quoted as saying by Sputnik International today.

The US has partially lifted sanctions against cooperation with Afghanistan on helicopter maintenance and supply part deliveries with Russia’s Rosoboronexport state defense exporter, Kabulov said in September this year.

"Common sense favors this. And not only the Americans, but also other NATO member should review it," Kabulov told RIA Novosti in an interview published Monday.

Apart from donor conferences, terrorism-related issues in Afghanistan should be addressed politically, economically, militarily as well as technically, Kabulov said.

On Sunday, Russia Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova’s announced that Mascow banned former US Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul from visiting Russia over damaging Mascow-Washngton ties.

Russia believes that the former ambassador has played active role in destroying US and Russian relationship and also the soviet nation has also his name in Moscow's "mirror sanctions list"
