Northrop Grumman Wins $91M Contract For EA-18G Aircraft Airborne Electronic Attack System

Northrop Grumman has been awarded a contract worth $91 million to develop airborne electronic attack systems for Boeing EA-18G Growler aircraft for the Navy and the government of Australia.

“Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Bethpage, New York, is being awarded $91,034,997 for modification P00010 to a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N68936-14-D-0018).  This modification provides for the design, development, and implementation of the airborne electronic attack requirements for software configuration set upgrades to software and ancillary hardware in support of the EA-18G aircraft for the Navy and the government of Australia,” the US Department of Defense announced Monday. 

Work will be performed in Pt. Mugu, California, and is expected to be completed in July 2019. 

This contract combines purchases for the Navy ($83,752,197; 92 percent); and the government of Australia ($7,282,800; 8 percent) under the Foreign Military Sales program, the statement said.  The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, California, is the contracting activity.
