The company’s stall at the ongoing defence industry exhibition INDESEC 2008 in the Indian Expo Mart in Greater NOIDA near Delhi is abuzz with activity. Sandip Sharan, the company’s Senior Manager for Marketing, who is tasked with handling inquiries from visitors at the stall, has his hands full. Bullet proof helmet:. The helmet is designed for user head protection against firearms, stab and cut type cold steel weapons and shocks. It ensures head protection against 9-mm steel core bullets for Makarov (PM) handgun and against fragmentation at velocity level of 570 meter per second. The suspension system includes intricately shaped deformable plastic elements designed to bring to minimum traumatic effect when bullet hits the helmet. The helmet can be equipped with a removable polycarbonate visor, radio communications set and with an outer cover either in mono color fabric/mesh or camouflage coloring. Miniature thermal imaging camera:. Osprey is a miniature thermal imaging camera that incorporates improved digital signal processing. Camera offers fast turn-on time and real-time video image. Equipped with eyepiece with OLED display, Osprey is ideal for surveillance, reconnaissance, search and rescue applications. The device can be used by defence forces in operations ranging from target detection to routine patrols and search and rescue mission. Hand-held thermal imaging camera:. THE Sich-3 is a portable, light weight, versatile thermal imaging camera. It offers a full performance solution for public safety and security uses. Integrating features of a large camera with the flexibility and convenience of a hand-held, the Sich-3 utilizes advanced uncooled microbolometer technology in a full size 384×288 focal plane array and equipped with OLED display.
