A revised version of the Joint Doctrine Indian Armed Forces- 2017 has been released by Admiral Sunil Lanba, ADC Chairman, Chiefs of Staff Committee (COSC) and Chief of the Naval Staff.
The joint doctrine document was released in the presence of Chief of the Army Staff, Chief of the Air Staff and Chief of the Integrated Defence Staff to the Chairman COSC Wednesday.
The Joint Doctrine Indian Armed Forces will serve as a cornerstone document for application of military power in a synergized manner leading to enhanced efficiency, optimum utilization of resources and financial savings, an official statement said.
"It will also establish a broad framework of concepts and principles to understand our approach to Joint Planning and conduct of operations across all the domains of conflict; land, air, sea, space and cyber-space," the statement added.
In addition, the Doctrine will also serve as a reference document for all the three Services to plan integrated operations.
