Saudi To Continue Sharing Military Intelligence With US

Saudi Arabia will continue to share military intelligence with the US and will use the opportunity to strengthen ties with America during US president Donald Trump’s visit to the kingdom.

Saudi Arabia was not concerned about sharing intelligence with the United States, despite a storm over reports that Trump had discussed intelligence with Russia during a White House meeting last week, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir was quoted as saying by Saudi Gazette Friday.

“We share a very, very large amount of intelligence with the United States and vice versa,” Al-Jubeir said. “We have had no hesitation about doing so and we will not have any hesitation about continuing to do so.”

Trump will be signing several agreements on US-Saudi security and economic cooperation during his visit to Riyadh on Friday.

Trump’s visit will bolster strategic partnerships between the two nations. Riyadh agrees with US’ administrative view in regard to the role placed by the US in uprooting terrorism,” Al-Jubeir said.

Both the countries were discussing several “initiatives” related to arms sales, economic and security cooperation and tackling terrorism.

“Several agreements will be signed, whether political agreements… and big economic agreements,” he said.
