Turkey Blacklists More Than 4,000 Russians Due To Links With Daesh Militants

Turkish government has blacklisted about four thousand Russian citizens and deported 804 people since 2011 over the alleged links to Daesh militant group.

Turkey has blacklisted more than 4,000 Russian citizens and deported 804 Russians since 2011 over their suspected links to Daesh (banned in Russia), the Turkish Interior Ministry said in a report published Monday.

A total of 53,781 foreigners from 146 countries are included in the list, most of them from Saudi Arabia (7,523), Tunisia (4,605) and Russia (4,128), according to the report.

Turkey has deported 4,957 foreigners over alleged Daesh ties since 2011, with Russian citizens first among the deportees, followed by the citizens of Indonesia (435) and Tajikistan (308).
