Defence consortium Intrall and UAMZ Group has offered its new Eskadron lightweight assault vehicle to the Russian Airborne Troops , which is seeking new vehicles to rapidly deploy tactical groups.
The vehicle can easily maneuver even difficult terrain; off road, it can reach speeds of up to 130 km/h, defence-blog.com reported Monday.
The three-ton Eskadron can seat four passengers and carry up to 1,500 kilos of payload. The assault vehicle will be equipped with Kord 12.7 mm heavy machine gun and four Kornet anti-tank guided missiles.
Two Eskadron vehicles can be loaded internally in a Mi-8 military transport helicopter or can be paradropped from medium military cargo aircraft into special paratroopers platform
