Vertex Awarded $79 Million to maintain 178 T-1A Trainer Fleet at AETC Base

L-3 Communications Vertex Aerospace has been awarded a $79 million contract for contractor operated and maintained base supply of the Air Education and Training Command fleet of 178 T-1A trainer aircraft. 

Work is expected to be completed by June 7, 2018.

The Air Education Training Command (AETC) uses the Hawker 400-derived T-1As mostly as advanced training jets for airlift and tanker pilots.
