The Pakistan navy successfully test-fired naval cruise missile 'Harba' from its recently commissioned Fast Attack Craft (Missile) PNS Himmat in Arabian sea near Karachi on Wednesday.

"The naval craft fired indigenously developed Harbah Naval Cruise Missile, which is a Surface to Surface anti-ship missile with Land Attack capability. The missile accurately hit its target signifying the impressive capabilities of Harbah Naval Weapon System,” Daily Pakistan reported, citing a statement made by the Navy.

Speaking on the occasion, Naval chief Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi said the Pakistan navy will ensure defence of the country's shores and interests.

He emphasised the need to capitalize on indigenous defence capabilities and reduce reliance on foreign countries.
