Ukraine Test Fires Modernized ‘Pechora’ Anti-Aircraft Missile System

Ukraine’s Radionics successfully launched missiles from the modernized S-125 M "Pechora" surface-to-air missile complex early this week.

It is noted that during the test, a 5V27D-M2 missile with an active radar homing head was launched from a modernized anti-aircraft missile system.

"At the initial stage, the rocket moves along an aeroballistic trajectory, such a missile flight substantially increases the far boundary of the C-125M air defense zone," the press office of the bureau announced on Monday via Facebook.

Note that the far limit of the affected area for the new missiles is 40 km, the maximum height of the affected zone is 25 km.
