Boeing has been awarded a foreign military sales contract to provide post-production support services for the Qatar Armed Forces Apache helicopter fleet.
“The Boeing Co., Mesa, Arizona, was awarded a $12,850,128 firm-fixed-price foreign military sales (Qatar) contract for post-production support services for the Qatar Armed Forces AH-64E Apache helicopter fleet. Bids were solicited via the internet with one received,” the Department of defense announced Friday.
Work will be performed in Mesa, Arizona, with an estimated completion date of Feb. 14, 2024. U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is the contracting activity.
Qatar had signed a contract to buy 24 Apache armed helicopters for $667 million in 2016. The AH-64Es, also known as Apaches, are helicopters that typically carry AGM-114 Hellfire missiles and Hydra 70 rocket pods. They have four blades and are rotary-winged.
