Boeing, Lockheed Win contracts to support Hellfire-missile Mounted Apache Helicopters

Boeing and Lockheed Martin have won separate deals worth over $70 million combined to support Hellfire-missile mounted AH-64 Apache helicopters meant for Saudi Arabia, Pentagon announced Monday.

Boeing has been awarded a $39.5 million foreign military sales contract for post-production system support. The contract includes integrated product support of the AH-64 twin-turboshaft attack helicopters in support of the Saudi Arabia National Guard. Work is expected to be completed by April 29, 2020.

Lockheed Martin has also won a foreign military sales contract worth $30.8 million for Hellfire guided missile launcher and electronic assembly. The Hellfire can be fired from rotary- and fixed-wing aircraft, waterborne vessels and land-based systems. Work is expected to be completed by April 30, 2023. 

During early April, Lockheed was awarded an additional $2.5 billion contract to begin work on production of Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) interceptors for Saudi Arabia as part of a $15 billion for the defensive ballistic missile systems.
