First Russian Civil Helicopter at Paris Airshow in 30 Years

When the Ansat helicopter of Russian helicopters takes flight at the Paris Airshow 2019, it will become the first from Moscow in 30 years.

The last time a Russian civil chopper was displayed at Le Bourget, Paris was in 1989 during the Soviet Union era, when the Mi-17-1VA was demonstrated.

Medical and VIP transport variants of the Ansat light, multi-purpose chopper will take part in the airshow, having being painted in a livery color scheme, representing both the Russian and French flags. The fuselage of each helicopter comes with a curly gymnastic ribbon, symbolizing the beauty and harmony of the flight of rotorcrafts.

The medical Ansat presented at the air show this year will be equipped with a certified Austrian-made medical module that meets all international air ambulance standards.

Developed by Kazan Helicopter Plant, the Ansat can be used for cargo delivery and environmental monitoring. It can fly in mountainous terrain at altitudes up to 3,500 meters. The helicopter can be operated in a temperature range between -45 and +50 degrees of Celsius.
