Rockwell Collins Simulation & Training Solutions was awarded $40.2 million by the US Air Force to support training devices of E-8 aircraft.

"This contract provides for contractor logistics support and training system support center operations of the Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System Aircrew Training Device," the US Department of Defense said in a statement Friday.

Work is expected to be complete by August 3, 2029.

The Northrop Grumman E-8 Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (Joint STARS) is a USAF airborne ground surveillance, battle management and command and control aircraft. It tracks ground vehicles and some aircraft, collects imagery, and relays tactical pictures to ground and air theater commanders.
