Russia has begun training of Serbian military personnel on the know-how of operating the Pantsir-S anti-aircraft system that Belgrade acquired recently.
“Serbia’s Pantsir-S is currently being assembled. Everything is going according to the schedule, there won’t be delays. Serbian personnel are presently undergoing training on its usage, it will be completed soon,” Alexander Mikheyev, head of Rosoboronexport, was quoted as saying by TASS on Wednesday.
Belgrade bought one unit of the Pantsir-S missile system recently, with the official announcement made on made on October 24 by the country’s president, Aleksandar Vucic.
“Moscow will start shipment of the Pantsir to Serbia soon. The contract will be fulfilled in the next few months," Mikheyev said.
