Turkey has said it "neutralized" 101 Syrian troops in a retaliatory attack after the latter reportedly attacked its military stationed in northwestern Syria.
On Monday, the defense ministry said in a statement that 115 Syrian regime targets were hit and 101 regime military personnel neutralized, meaning 101 of them surrendered, or were killed or captured.
In addition, Turkish forces destroyed three tanks, two howitzer positions, and a helicopter.
The attack has come after Syrian forces killed at least five Turkish troops, and left five more injured in an attack launched earlier on Monday.
