Russia-based Wagner mercenaries fighting for Libyan warlord, Khalifa Haftar have begun leaving the battlefield causing a huge dent in the military capabilities of the Libyan National Army (LNA).

Multiple news sources in the Middle East and Turkey reported that the Wagner Group, believed to be working for hefty pay packages, have been evacuated in several AN-32 aircraft.

At least seven military transport planes arrived in East Libya to airlift mercenaries of the Russian Wagner Group out of the country. The aircraft reportedly brought ammunition and military equipment.

The government-led Burkan Al-Ghadab, or Operation Volcano of Rage, tweeted on Monday that an Antonov An-32 military cargo plane landed at Bani Walid Airport to "resume the transportation of the Wagner mercenaries."

The Libyan Army has suspended operations in the region for 48 hours while it will continue conducting aerial surveillance.

According to reports, on Monday, members of pro-Haftar Tobruk assembly rejected an attempted coup by the warlord.
