French Armed Forces Receives First Light Surveillance Aircraft
French MoD's light surveillance aircraft

The French Ministry of the Armed Forces receives its first light surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft (ALSR) capable of carrying out intelligence missions with a small logistical footprint and great ease of deployment.

The DGA received the first light surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft on July 31, 2020. The special aircraft is based on the Beechcraft King Air 350 turboprop, a French MoD release said today.

The surveillance and reconnaissance equipment has been supplied by Thales

The 2019-2025 procurement plan forecasts a fleet of 8 ALSRs by 2030.
