Dutch Forces to Get 249 Military Diesel Quads

Dutch Ministry of Defense has signed a contract with Defenture company for the supply of 249 military diesel quads (MDQ).

Defenture, together with W-Tec company , will develop this special military quad between 2020 and 2024, test prototypes and build them in series. The contract has the option to build another 120 quads.

The quad will come fitted with a multi-fuel diesel engine and automatic gearbox. It is currently being delivered in one variant and is suitable for transport by a Chinook helicopter.

The new vehicle was initially intended for the actions of Dutch special operation forces, 11 Airmobile Brigade, the Korps Commandotroepen and the Marine Corps, in mission areas.

Before the vehicles go into series production, the manufacturer conducts intensive verification tests on 10 prototypes.
