Saudi Arabia Desires Turkish Armed Drones: Erdogan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Saudi Arabia requested to purchase combat drones.

Saudi Arabia is participating in Philia Forum exercise, along with Greece, France, Egypt, U.A.E. and Bahrain. "It's confusing while they're conducting a military exercise with Greece," Erdogan was quoted as saying by Daily Sabah Tuesday.

Turkey and Saudi Arabia have been at odds for some years over various regional issues, including the murder of dissident Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul in 2018.

The success of Turkish drones in Nagorno-Karabakh by Azeri forces have prompted import by Ukraine and Qatar.
