Ukraine’s Ukrspetsexport, a subsidiary of state-owned Ukroboronprom, will soon set up a facility to repair Mi-17 helicopters in Turkey.

An agreement pertaining to setting up the unit was inked with Turkey’s THK Teknik A.Ş during IDEF-2021 exhibition in Istanbul. The contract calls for the creation of a service and repair center for Turkish customers, as well as fulfillment of various orders for third countries, Ukroboronprom said in a statement August 18.

Ukrspetsexport and THK Teknik A.Ş worked together in 2018 when the Ukrainian company won a tender for the repair of 18 Mi-17 helicopters of the Turkish gendarmerie.
