Sweden, Finland Sign Agreement for Joint Procurement of Firearms
The agreement on firearms was signed by the head of Army Equipment at the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration, Brigadier General Mikael Frisell, and for Finland by the head of the Swedish Armed Forces' logistics command, Major General Kari Renko.

Sweden and Finland have signed an agreement on the joint procurement of firearms and related technology.

"Through this agreement, we create the conditions for carrying out joint procurements of a family of firearms and accessories to be used by both countries," said Brigadier General Mikael Frisell.

The aim is to improve interoperability between Finland and Sweden, including security of supply in the equipment area for both countries.
