Ukraine says it shot down more than 200 warplanes, 410 drones and 160 helicopters operated by the Russian forces since the start of their invasion of the country on February 24.
In an official Twitter post, Kyiv said, “200 Russian military planes have permanently landed thanks to the skills of the Ukrainian military. We thank our friends for the Stingers and Starstreaks. Waiting for the Patriots to follow.”
On May 13, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine tweeted that a Russian Mi-28 Night Hunter attack helicopter was shot down by Ukrainian air defenses.
Since Feb. 24, Kyiv claims it destroyed around 1215 tanks, 2930 APVs, 90 anti-aircraft warfare systems and 410 drones.
