Ten M777 Howitzers Destroyed in Missile Strike in Ukraine: Russia Claims

Some ten 155mm M777 howitzers donated by the United States to Ukraine were destroyed in a strike near the city of Nikolaev by kalibr missiles missiles fired by Russian forces.
"High-precision long-range Kalibr missiles on the territory of the transformer plant in the city of Nikolaev destroyed ten 155-mm howitzers M777 and up to 20 armored combat vehicles delivered by the West to the Kiev regime over the past 10 days," Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Sunday.
The Ministry of Defense said the Kalibr cruise missiles was fired at designated ground targets from ships stationed in the Black Sea.
Russia has so far claimed to have destroyed 20 M777 howitzers out of some 80 donated by the U.S. to Ukraine. The Russian claims have not been corroborated by the Ukrainian MoD.
