Indonesia’s state-owned PT Dirgantara Indonesia has signed a deal worth $150 million with Unity Accipiter Corporation (UAC), a subsidiary of California-based Unity Resources Group to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) support to the C-130 Hercules aircraft of the Indonesian Air Force.

Dirgantara will ensure the readiness of C-130 planes in delivering important cargo to the different areas of the country. UAC will be providing necessary technical assistance, training and spare parts.

The Air Force currently operates about a dozen C-130B, C-130H and civilian-standard L-100 aircraft. These include nine refurbished C-130H planes transferred from Australia after the latter retired its fleet in favor of the C-130J in 2012.

Jakarta reportedly signed a deal for additional C-130J Super Hercules planes with Lockheed Martin in September last year.
