The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has arrested one of its own employees in Kharkiv suspecting him of spying for Russia.
In a statement, the agency said that the ‘traitor’ joined shortly after the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion. The man was a former official of Kharkiv City Council and was later recruited by Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB). The man was guaranteed security for the ‘mole’ and his family if Russia captures the region in return for his services.
The agent collected intelligence to Russian special services through secure communication channels. He also passed on data on plans and activity of Ukrainian Armed Forces, law enforcement and special services.

The ‘traitor’ was caught red handed after he asked the Russians to carry out a strike on a facility where SBU personnel were present.
