Rosoboronexport to Negotiate With Chinese Firms on Joint Development of Weapons at Airshow China 2022

Russia’s state-owned Rosoboronexport will hold talks with Chinese firms at Airshow China 2022 (Nov. 8-13) in Zhuhai on joint development of weapons.

“This year we will demonstrate in Zhuhai the best and latest developments of Russian aircraft and helicopter manufacturers, effective weapons, solutions in the field of air defense and missile defense. I am sure that joint work with the leadership of the People's Liberation Army of China and Chinese companies at the exhibition will bring us new mutually beneficial agreements and will allow us to identify promising areas of joint cooperation in high-tech areas,” said Alexander Mikheev, Director General of Rosoboronexport.

At its booth at Airshow China 2022, Rosoboronexport will offer a full range of Russian military aircraft from Rostec enterprises, including the fifth-generation Su-57E fighter, the Su-35 multi-purpose super-maneuverable fighter, the Su-34E fighter-bomber and the MiG-35 multi-role fighter in single and double versions.

Visitors to the company's exposition will be presented with an Il-78MK-90A tanker aircraft and an Il-76MD-90A(E) military transport aircraft, which is one of the main means of prompt delivery of airborne troops to their zone of operation. For this type of troops, Rosoboronexport will also show the BTR-MDM multi-purpose amphibious armored personnel carrier and the BMD-4M airborne combat vehicle.

Rostec says it is expecting interest in Russian helicopters such as Ka-52, Mi-28NE, Mi-171Sh and Mi-17.

Among aviation weapons, Rosoboronexport will display at the show a wide range of adjustable and guided aerial bombs, guided missiles for various purposes, capable of effectively hitting ground, surface and air targets, including those with an increased range outside the coverage area of ​​modern and advanced air defense systems.

In order to build an effective air defense of territories and facilities, Rosoboronexport will present in Zhuhai means of various ranges: the S-400 Triumph air defense system, the S-350E Vityaz air defense system, which has shown itself to be a reliable means of combating modern UAVs, the anti-aircraft missile system Tor- E2", MANPADS "Verba", as well as various automated control systems for air defense units and divisions.
