Czech citizens are collecting funds to buy mobile anti-aircraft machine guns to help Ukraine’s army shoot down Iran-produce Shahed-136 drones that the West claims is being used by the Russians.
The campaign “Viktor – mobile air defense of Ukraine” was launched by activists of the movement “Gift for Putin.” Previously, they had already raised funds for the modernized Т-72 Avenger tank for Ukraine.
The campaign’s organizers plan to raise $3.85 million for the production of 15 combat units. They had managed to raise around $80,000 as of November 14.
Viktor is a Czech-made twin 14.5 mm anti-aircraft machine gun mounted on the chassis of a Toyota Land Cruiser pickup truck.
The ammunition for the module is 300 loaded and 300 additional rounds.
The anti-aircraft gun has a day and night vision. An effective air targets’ firing range is possible at a distance of up to 2 km.
The main task of Viktor is to combat air threats such as Iranian Shahed-136 kamikaze drones.
