Russia’s defense ministry announced the destruction of U.S.-made M777 and Polish Grad howitzers in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Kharkiv region.

"Three U.S.-made M777 artillery systems were destroyed at firing positions in the areas of the settlements of Dobrovolye in the Kharkiv region and Pleshcheevka in the DPR," Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said during a regular press briefing on Sunday.

Poland’s Crab self-propelled artillery mount was destroyed near the city of Seversk in the Donetsk People's Republic, he added.

According to Konashenkov, during the day, Russian missile forces and artillery "hit 58 artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in firing positions, manpower and military equipment in 86 districts."

In the course of a counter-battery fight near Seversk city in the DPR, two Ukrainian combat vehicles of the Uragan multiple launch rocket system were reportedly eliminated; and in Makiivka located in the Lugansk People's Republic, two Grad multiple rocket launchers were destroyed, the spokesman claimed.

He said that Russian air defense systems shot down five Ukrainian drones in the LPR, DPR and Zaporozhye region in a day.

"Six HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and one Uragan rocket were intercepted in the areas of the settlements of Zhitlovka and Krasnorechenskoye of the Luhansk People's Republic, Kuibyshevo of the Donetsk People's Republic and Mirnoye of the Zaporozhye Region," Konashenkov said.
