The Romanian Ministry of National Defense has awarded Turkish drone maker Baykar $321 million for the purchase of Bayraktar TB2 unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs).

Information pertaining to this was published on April 25.

The move comes after Romania announced its intention last year to procure three TB2 drone packages – including 18 drones and ground control stations – from Baykar.

The deal must be approved by the country’s parliament.
