Ukraine’s Ukrspecsystems will showcase its new MINI SHARK drone at the upcoming IDEF-2023 exhibition in Turkey’s Istanbul (July 25-28).

MINI SHARK has a wingspan of 2.6 meters and a length of 125 cm has a maximum take-off weight of up to 5 kg, and the duration of its flight is 2 hours, Militarnyi reported citing the manufacturer.

The lightweight and compact MINI SHARK is designed for reconnaissance missions. It can detect ground targets in the interests of artillery, special units and ground forces.

Ukrspecsystems claims that the radius of use of the MINI SHARK UAV reaches 35 km. The developers emphasize that one of the advantages of the new drone is hand-held launching and easy transportation. After all, the entire system fits in two backpacks.

The declared maximum flight speed is 120 km/h. The working height of the flight is 1,000m. The drone can be equipped with an optical-electronic system with 10-fold optical magnification.

After completing the flight mission, MINI SHARK makes an autonomous landing with the fuselage. According to the representative of the company, work on the creation of a new UAV began after receiving requests from the Ukrainian military for a similar aircraft. The MINI SHARK drone is currently undergoing factory testing.

The drone was first presented at the Brave1 exhibition in April this year.

Ukraine’s rock and pop band ‘BoomBox’ collected funds to purchase five MINI SHARKs for the country’s military.
