Iran plans to unveil two unmanned versions of the domestically-developed Qaher-313 stealth fighter within the next few months.
This was confirmed to Iranian state-owned media by Brigadier General Afshin Khajehfard, Head of Iran Aviation Industries Organization (IAIO).
The single-seat Qaher-313 was unveiled in February 2013. It can take-off and land on short runways. The aircraft design is a canard configuration. Qaher can reportedly carry either two 2,000-pound (910 kg) bombs, multiple smaller smart guided missiles, or at least 6 PL-12 type air-to-air missiles. It features a downward wingtip device which vaguely resembles the Boeing Bird of Prey prototype.
