Israel Deploys Tank, Aircraft, and Vessel Barriers to Restrict Gaza Strip Movement

The Israel Defense Force (IDF) has initiated the setup of a fortified barrier, utilizing tanks, aircraft, and naval vessels, aimed at strictly controlling access to and from the Gaza Strip.

IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari made this declaration in an ‘X’ post on Tuesday.

Additionally, he revealed that the IDF has successfully evacuated settlements located in close proximity to the Gaza Strip's perimeter fence.

The IDF has undertaken extensive measures to secure the surrounding area, deploying 35 battalions and four lieutenant generals overseeing various sectors, along with the commander of the Gaza Division. Tens of thousands of soldiers have been deployed to the region.

Hagari emphasized that, in the past 36 hours, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) has executed a series of comprehensive attacks, dropping hundreds of tons of bombs on thousands of strategic targets. The IDF's relentless campaign has resulted in thousands of targets being struck, extensive munitions deployed, and a continuous pursuit of maximum damage. On the latest update, Israeli fighter jets carried out over 200 strikes along the Gaza Strip during the third night of the operation.

The intensity of the aerial bombardment in the past 24 hours has surpassed the rate seen during the Second Lebanon War, according to Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari. Simultaneously, the Israeli Navy has been actively patrolling maritime areas, neutralizing any attempts to launch boats or access the beaches, including targeting the starting points of such operations.

In response to the escalating situation, the IDF has swiftly mobilized 300,000 reservists within 48 hours, ensuring an ample supply of combat equipment according to operational priorities. A 24/7 WhatsApp center has also been established for commanders and soldiers to report logistical deficiencies.

As of Tuesday morning, the Israeli military has gained full control over Israeli towns situated near the Gaza Strip and is actively working towards securing the entire border line, with the goal of achieving this in the coming hours. Lt. Col. Richard Hecht, a military spokesperson, reported that Israeli forces have neutralized approximately 1,500 Palestinian militants since the incursion began last Saturday, with the latest engagements occurring in overnight gun battles in two Israeli border communities.
