The Russian military shot down two Ukrainian aircraft - Su-25 and Su-27 - and intercepted 38 drones and six Neptune cruise missiles in one day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on Sunday.
“Within 24 hours, air defense systems shot down two aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force: a Su-25 near the city of Dnepropetrovsk and a Su-27 near the city of Krivoy Rog, Dnepropetrovsk region,” a Russian MoD statement said.
“14 rockets from the HIMARS and Uragan multiple launch rocket systems, as well as six Neptune anti-ship missiles, were intercepted,” the military department said.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, 38 Ukrainian drones were destroyed in the DPR, LPR, Kharkov and Zaporozhye regions.
Ukraine Targets Russian Radar station in Crimea
Ukraine’s Intelligence Directorate said it destroyed Russian radar systems at the military airfield in Saky and an ammunition depot near the village of Hryshyne on Friday.
Ukrainian intelligence agency, GRU released satellite images “confirming” the damage.
