Ural Design Bureau has patented a two-tier canopy designed for tanks such as T-72, T-80, and T-90, offering protection against jet-propelled grenades and cumulative warheads, in addition to First Person View (FPV) drones.
The "canopy" is intended for use on Russian main battle tanks, including T-72B3M, T-80BVM, T-90M, as well as armored vehicles.
This product offers defense against jet-propelled grenades PG-7V and PG-9V with monoblock cumulative warheads at angles of 90 degrees. Furthermore, it provides protection against FPV warheads with similar grenades diving at angles ranging from 35 to 90 degrees.
At dive angles below 35 degrees, the canopy also guarantees protection against rocket-propelled grenades, as well as ATGMs equipped with tandem cumulative warheads.
