Lockheed Martin officially delivered the first pair of F-16s to Slovakia today, marking a significant milestone.
The ceremony took place at Lockheed Martin's Greenville facility, where Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the Slovak Republic, Robert Kaliňák, joined delegates from the United States and Slovakia to commemorate the arrival of Slovakia's inaugural F-16 Block 70 aircraft.
The two aircraft, featuring a single-seat C-model and a two-seat D-model, will undergo maintenance training in Greenville. This training is indispensable for Slovak Air Force personnel, ensuring the seamless integration and optimal operation of the F-16 fleet. More jets are scheduled for completion by 2025, with the initial group expected to land in Slovakia by mid-2024.
