RSBC Investment Group has completed the acquisition of STEYR ARMS, the Austrian firearm manufacturer, on April 23.

RSBC Group has acquired 100% ownership of STEYR ARMS from its previous owner, SMH Holding GmbH. This acquisition will allow RSBC to focus entirely on the strategic development of STEYR ARMS, with a particular emphasis on strengthening its presence in international markets.

Established in 1864, STEYR employs over 200 individuals in Austria and the USA. The company’s turnover for 2023 exceeded €45 million. STEYR ARMS is a global supplier of firearms for police and military professionals as well as hunting rifles (STEYR Mannlicher). The flagship product is the Steyr AUG, which is used by more than two dozen armies and a number of special police units.

Previously, RSBC Group acquired American small arms maker Colt in 2021.
